Temporary International Health Insurance Obtaining Health Insurance AFTER Injury?

Obtaining health insurance AFTER injury? - temporary international health insurance

My brother is an international student from Halifax (NS, Canada). He studied English class last week and what your insurance has expired then and there is. I had three weeks until he returns to his country, yet it managed to severely injured and had surgery for a broken cheekbone. The medical bill is about $ 3000 and has no health insurance to help you.

We do not know how this approach - $ 3000 is too much, and we think: Is it possible to have a temporary health insurance for him now will help us to pay for your surgery?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Companies will need up to 12 months waiting time for pre-existing conditions.

And there is no way a commitment for the operation, which has already occurred to pay.

Check with your health insurance before, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, it may be something that COBRA coverage would kick in.

This is not how insurance works.

You can buy and pay the premiums for the risk of future events. Not in what happened.

What we are asking is like trying to buy homeowners insurance after their house burned.

Sorry. You need to consider other methods of financing medical care.

This is what I take from life from my husband a week after his death. You can not cover after the fact. Sorry

No. It happened.

You will be paid in a payment plan, even if there are one or two years.

A total of € 3000 is cheap for the surgery. That is far less than a car. You should not have much time to get the money back.

At his age, there is no assurance that the fee for an operation that is performed before the policy was applied.

Your best bet is to speak it or not the money owed, and what kind of options you can see tender.

Good luck.
